Kansas City's West Bottoms · Est. local favorite

We pour the tea.
You bring the
good company.

Small-batch loose-leaf teas, house-made pastries, and a corner of Baltimore Ave that feels like stepping into someone's kitchen — only this kitchen is ours, and it's always warm.

A place that doesn't
rush you out the door.

Hugo Tea Company started with a simple observation: Kansas City had plenty of places to grab coffee on the run, but nowhere that invited you to stay. So we built one.

Tucked into the West Bottoms at 2012 Baltimore Ave, we're a small-batch tea house and bakery that takes its sourcing seriously — and its hospitality even more seriously. Every blend is curated, every pastry is made in-house, and every cup is poured with the kind of attention you'd expect from a friend who knows their stuff.

We're not a chain. We're not trying to be. We're just a neighborhood spot that believes the best conversations start with a good cup of tea and something worth sharing.
